DA NANG, VIETNAM, December 13, 2022 – The numbers are in for the APT Da Nang Vietnam VSOP 2022 Main Event – partnered with the Vietnam Series of Poker (VSOP).

Playing out in the ballroom of the five-star Risemount Premier Resort, Day 2 saw a further 64 players (51 unique) join the 154 combined Day 1 survivors to bring the total number of entries up to 411 (217 uniques).

This absolutely crushed the ₫10BN ($420,000) guarantee, and the **total prize pool now stands at an impressive ₫11,960,100,000 ($502,235)**.

The top 42 places will make the hallowed money spots, with the eventual winner walking away with a ₫2,598,290,000 (~$109,128) top prize, with a min-cash good for ₫62,950,000 (~$2,644).

Once registration closed after the first two levels played, the field began to shrink, and after the eight 60-minute levels played out just 60 players are left in contention.

It is South Korea's Nam Doo Sik the man leading the charge, concluding play with a stack of 591,000 with which to make his play for the title when the tournament resumes for Day 3.

Canada's Alexander Puchalski will be returning second in the overall counts with a stack of 517,000, with Vietnam's Phuong Ngoc Nguyen (377,000) rounding out the top three.

Reigning APT Korea Incheon champion Farhad Aghayev is on the hunt for a second APT Main Event title and will be returning fourth in the overall counts, with the top ten stacks as follows:

Other notables in with a shout of a sizable score include India's Aditya Agarwal (185,500) and Akshay Kapoor (157,500), Malta's Remi Florent (97,500), Vietnam's Dinh Van Tien (93,500), and Australia's Anthony Abram, the latter of whom will return as the tournament short stack with 44,000 in chips.

The 60 Day 2 survivors will return for Day 3 – which gets underway at 12pm (GMT+7) on Tuesday, December 14 – where they will play down to the official eight-handed final table.

Singapore's Benjamin Sai Leads APT POS Race With High Roller Single Day Win

The APT Player of the Series (POS) race is beginning to heat up, with Singapore's Benjamin Sai following up on his Mystery Bounty win and cementing his position at the top of the table by winning his second APT Da Nang series title.

Sai saw off challenges from a 19-strong (18 unique) field to win the lion's share of the ₫921,500,000 (~$38,703) prize pool in the fourth of the APT Da Nang's High Roller events – the ₫50,000,000+4,000,000 Event #18 High Roller Single Day.

The Singaporean online grinder – making his fourth APT Da Nang final table appearance – cut a heads-up ICM deal with Vietnam's Nguyen Anh Minh to take the trophy, title, and ₫442,500,000 (~$18,585) for first place.

Minh received ₫250,000,000 ($10,500) for his runner-up finish, with Singapore's Alex Lee claiming ₫140,500,000 ($5,900) for third.

The USA's Dan Nover made his second final table appearance and third cash of the series to claim ₫88,500,000 (~$3,717) for fourth place.

Canada's Leah Arbuthnott Leads Event #19 No Limit Hold'em Final Table

Just eight players remain out of a 115-strong field (86 unique) after Day 1 of the two-day ₫10,000,000+1,000,000 Event #19 No Limit Hold'em.

With all competitors eager to win their slice of the ₫1,115,500,000 (~$46,850) prize pool, competition for the cash spots was fierce.

Notables in contention included Mongolia's Janag Battulga, Malaysia's Raiden Kan, the UK's William Kang, Mystery Bounty runner-up Joris Michl, and APT Philippines Championship Event winner Paul Kiem to name but a few.

With the tournament paying out the top 20 places, the majority would be departing empty-handed, with the field playing down until the official eight-handed final table.

Of the aforementioned notables, only Michl was successful in going the distance, and the Netherlands' native will be returning second in the final table pecking order with a stack of 226,000 when play resumes at 12pm (GMT+7) on Wednesday, December 14.

However, the lady to catch is Canada's Leah Arbuthnott who will be returning in the best of positions to claim the ₫277,270,000 (~$11,645) top prize with the largest stack of 255,500.

South Korea's Namju Kim will be returning third in the overall counts with a stack of 181,000, and India's Chamaria Shuchi (142,500) will be looking to better her fifth-place finish in the Event #4 Head Hunter, with the final table stacking up as follows:

Dan Nover Wins Maiden APT Title in High Rollers 6 Max Hyper

The fifth of the APT Da Nang's scheduled High Roller tournaments – the ₫40,000,000+3,000,000 Event #20 High Rollers 6 Max Hyper – played out in the early hours of Wednesday morning drawing 3 entries.

It was the USA's Dan Nover, making his third final table appearance and fourth cash of the series, who emerged as the latest APT champion, taking away a top prize of ₫56,400,000 (~$2,368).

Nover cut a deal with his fellow competitors that saw the New York native claim his first APT title and the trophy, with Singapore's Alecz Chan and Mongolia's Janag Battulga both receiving a payout of ₫30,000,000 for second and third place respectively.

Vietnam's Nguyen Manh Hao Claims Trophy in Deep Stack Hyper Turbo

Playing out in the early hours of Tuesday morning, the ₫4,000,000+400,000 Event 17 Deep Stack Hyper Turbo attracted a 70-strong field (48 unique).

This generated a ₫271,600,000 (~$11,407) prize pool, with the tournament paying out the top 12 places.

It was Vietnam's Nguyen Manh Hao who emerged victorious, claiming his maiden APT title and the trophy after cutting a deal with heads-up opponent and fellow countryman Chien Nguyen.

This saw Hao make ₫54,190,000 (~$2,275) for first place, with Chien Nguyen banking ₫73,790,000 (~$3,100) for his runner-up finish.

Singapore's Benjamin Sai made his third final table appearance of the series, finishing in seventh place for ₫11,780,000 to further add increase his lead in the APT Player of the Series Race.
