JEJU, SOUTH KOREA, February 7, 2026– With the festival fast coming to a close, players are locked in to try and come out on top in the remaining events.

Among these events is the two-day Event #83 Ultra Stack, an extremely popular event among regular APT-goers. Check out who has emerged as early contenders after three flights played out today below.

Early Chip Leaders Emerge Across Three Flights in Event #83 Ultra Stack

Event #83: Ultra Stack delivered a strong opening across its three Day 1 flights, drawing 313 entries and comfortably surpassing its KRW 100,000,000 guarantee. With players starting on 100,000 chips, the two-day event generated a KRW 262 million prize pool, setting the stage for a decisive Final Day where KRW 52,150,000 awaits the eventual champion.

With all three flights now complete, several familiar names have positioned themselves strongly heading into the final stretch.

Flight A

Flight A attracted 110 entries, with Chi Jen Chen of Taiwan emerging as the standout. The Taiwanese pro, who has over USD 1.2 million in live earnings and already owns a trophy from this series after winning Event #54: No Limit Hold’em, bagged a commanding 2,362,000 chips to top the flight.

Singapore’s Boon Seng Ang is close behind in second with 1,934,000, while Chun Yin Lau rounded out the top three stacks from the flight, advancing with 1,239,000.

Flight B

From a field of 99 entries, Maxim Sorokin of Russia climbed to the top of the Flight B leaderboard after collecting 2,380,000 chips. With more than USD 700,000 in live earnings, Sorokin remains in pursuit of his first APT title after several near-misses in recent years, and now carries the most momentum going into the Final Day with the overall chip lead across the three flights.

China’s Qi Heng Liu followed with 1,680,000, while Makoto Yoshida of Japan completed the top three stacks, bagging 1,305,000.

Flight C

Flight C saw 104 entries, with Nevan Chang of Taiwan leading the survivors on 1,730,000 chips. The Natural8 ambassador and seasoned pro boasts over USD 3.4 million in live earnings and is chasing a landmark 10th APT title, having already notched three cashes this series, all in High Roller events.

China’s Chaofeng Zhu advanced in second from the flight with 1,620,000, while Japan’s Tomoyuki Yoshimiya secured third position, carrying 1,185,000 into the Final Day.

Shimizu Completes Hat-Trick with Event #85 Dealer’s Choice Masters Victory

Shimizu makes it three titles in one series

Japan’s Akihide Shimizu capped off a remarkable series run by claiming Event #85 Dealer’s Choice Masters, securing his third title of the series and third APT title overall. Shimizu outlasted a 28-entry field in the mixed-game format, adding KRW 13,428,000 (USD 9,426) to his festival pay purse

Greece’s Emmanouil Chalkiotis finished second for KRW 9,250,000 (USD 6,491), while Robert Andrew Sherwood of the United Kingdom completed the podium in third place, earning KRW 5,900,000 (USD 4,140).

Okuda Doubles Up with Second Title in Event #86 NL – Hold’em – Freezeout

Okuda on the double with second APT title this series

Japan’s Kei Okuda continued his hot streak by capturing Event #86 NL – Hold’em – Freezeout, earning his second APT title of the festival. Already a winner earlier in the series, Okuda navigated a 115-entry field to lock up KRW 37,490,000 (USD 26,309), a result that more than doubles his lifetime earnings and marks the largest cash of his poker career.

China’s Haoran Rong put together another deep run to finish second, collecting KRW 25,340,000 (USD 17,783), while fellow Chinese player Sishu Peng rounded out the podium in third place for KRW 16,470,000 (USD 11,557).

Wang Qian Claims Maiden Title in Event #87 Women’s Event

Qian's series became sweeter with her first APT title in the bag

China’s Wang Qian managed to take it over the line to take down Event #87 Women’s Event, topping a 42-entry field to secure her first APT title. Having already posted a cash earlier in the series, Wang closed this one out to collect KRW 3,420,806 (USD 2,400).

Japan’s Momoka Kojo finished runner-up after a solid performance, earning KRW 2,370,000 (USD 1,663), while Dieu Tu Dinh of Vietnam completed the podium in third place for KRW 1,510,000 (USD 1,059).

Cheung Marches On with Eighth Title in Event #88 PL Omaha Hi-Lo – 5 Card (Big O)

Cheung is a force to be reckoned with after his eigth APT title triumph

UK mixed-games specialist Qibang Cheung continued his relentless run on the circuit, topping a 54-entry field in Event #88 PL Omaha Hi-Lo – 5 Card (Big O) to capture his eighth APT title, edging ever closer to the 10-title milestone. Cheung banked KRW 9,335,907 (~USD 6,550) for the victory.

England’s Adam Alfie followed up an already impressive debut series with another deep run, finishing runner-up for KRW 6,770,000 (~USD 4,750) to go along with his multiple cashes in this series. Joseph Fiore Olivieri of the United States rounded out the podium in third place, adding KRW 4,370,000 (~USD 3,066) to a growing list of cashes as he continued his strong showing across the festival.

Chen Breaks Through for Second Title in Event #89 Turbo – NLH

Chen has been consistent this series

China’s Yingjie Chen converted good run of cashes this series into silverware, coming out on top of a 93-entry field to secure his second APT title in Event #89 Turbo – NLH. After multiple cashes earlier in the series, Chen sealed the victory for KRW 14,089,062 (~USD 9,888).

Hyung Soo Lim of New Zealand finished runner-up after another strong showing, earning KRW 9,880,000 (~USD 6,933), while Chun Ping David Lo of the United States completed the podium in third place with KRW 6,530,000 (~USD 4,582).

Lei Zhang Clinches Maiden Title in Event #90 Turbo – NL – Triple Draw Mix (A-5, 2-7)

Zhang brings home the trophy after a deal was agreed heads up

Chinese grinder Lei Zhang captured his first APT title by navigating a 37-entry field in Event #90 Turbo – NL – Triple Draw Mix (A-5, 2-7). The victory came after a heads-up deal was agreed with compatriot Xinze Li, with Zhang securing the trophy and KRW 2,410,947 (~USD 1,691) for the win.

Despite finishing runner-up, Li walked away with the larger payout following the agreement, banking KRW 5,000,000 (~USD 3,508). Lan Te Zhang completed an all-Chinese podium in third place, earning KRW 1,920,000 (~USD 1,347) to round out the top three.

Ikejiri Makes Perfect Debut in Event #91 Super Hyper Turbo – NLH

Ikejiri all smiles with his first APT title and live cash

Japanese newcomer Akifumi Ikejiri enjoyed a dream debut on the APT stage, turning his first recorded live cash into a maiden APT title in Event #91 Super Hyper Turbo – NLH. Emerging on top from a 100-entry field, Ikejiri claimed the win for KRW 7,162,240 (~USD 5,025).

China’s Chi Zhang put together a strong run to finish second, collecting KRW 4,930,000 (~USD 3,459), while Kuen Shing So of Hong Kong rounded out the podium in third place with KRW 3,230,000 (~USD 2,266).
