MANILA, PHILIPPINES, February 8, 2025– Vamerdino Magsakay from the Philippines claimed his fifth APT title in Event #11: Single Day High Roller - Mystery Bounty. Magsakay triumphed over a field of 77 entries (58 unique) to take home PHP 2,673,040 (~USD 45,441) in total earnings, including PHP 1,703,040 (~USD 28,951) in prize money and PHP 970,000 (~USD 16,490) in bounties collected.
Mike Takayama from the Philippines, second on the all-time money list in the Philippines, finished as the runner-up with PHP 2,572,000 (~USD 43,724) in total earnings, comprising PHP 1,232,000 (~USD 20,944) in prize money and PHP 1,340,000 (~USD 22,780) in bounties.
Steven Louis Chew from Australia rounded out the podium with a third-place finish, earning PHP 1,654,000 (~USD 28,118), which included PHP 794,000 (~USD 13,498) in prize money and PHP 860,000 (~USD 14,620) in bounties.

Australia’s Ai takes home his first APT title
Rex Hunt Ai from Australia battled through a field of 42 entries (37 unique) to claim his first APT trophy in Event #10: 9 Game, taking home PHP 219,926 (~USD 3,738).
Ai showed strong versatility across multiple poker format in the 9 game format, outlasting a competitive field of mixed-game regulars. Jun Weng from China, who yesterday took home his second APT title finished as the runner-up, earning PHP 152,000 (~USD 2,584), while Paul Benjamin Berthet from France secured third place with PHP 97,000 (~USD 1,649).

Handong Jo Wins First APT Trophy in Event #12: PL Omaha High
South Korean Jo claims his first APT title in the Omaha format
Handong Jo from South Korea secured his first-ever APT trophy in Event #12: PL Omaha High, outlasting a field of 52 entries (34 unique) to claim the top prize of PHP 206,944 (~USD 3,518).
Paul Ho from the United Kingdom, who won his first APT trophy just a day earlier in another Omaha event, fell just short of back-to-back victories, finishing runner-up for PHP 150,000 (~USD 2,550). Euryd Rivera from the Philippines rounded out the podium, taking third place and PHP 96,000 (~USD 1,632).

Xie from China takes home her first APT title in a women’s event
Xiyu Xie from China made her mark at the APT by securing her first APT title in Event #13: Women's Event. She topped a field of 45 entries (31 unique), navigating through a tough final table to claim the top prize of PHP 76,504 (~USD 1,300).
Catherine Dolores Calunsod from the Philippines, who made yesterday’s final table in the same event finished as the runner-up here, earning PHP 53,000 (~USD 901), while Mirei Oyama from Japan completed the top three with a third-place finish, taking home PHP 34,000 (~USD 578).
