TAIPEI, TAIWAN, APRIL 30, 2025– High-stakes legend John Juanda proved once again why he’s considered one of the greats in the game, capturing his second APT title in Event #69: Single Day High Roller. The Indonesian-born, U.S.-based veteran, who boasts over USD 26 million in live earnings, outlasted a stacked 230-entry field to take home a commanding TWD 3,571,700 (~USD 110,401) — the largest first-place prize in a Single Day High Roller in APT New Era history.

The event shattered multiple records, setting new in-country benchmarks for the APT New Era in terms of entries, first-place payout, and total prize pool.

South Korea’s Myunghwan Han finished runner-up and earned TWD 2,405,500 (~USD 74,259), while Malaysia’s Ming Hong Teoh took third for TWD 1,696,000 (~USD 52,345). Natural8 ambassador and Thai superstar Punnat Punsri continued his deep runs this series but remains in search of a trophy, finishing in 7th place.

Taiwan’s Molly Hsiao made history at APT Taipei 2025 by winning the first-ever Women’s High Roller event held in the APT New Era. The local standout outlasted a tough 61-entry field to secure her maiden APT title and a career-best payday of TWD 537,140 (~USD 16,581) — more than doubling her lifetime live earnings in the process.

Thailand’s Pussacha Nonsing finished second, earning TWD 387,500 (~USD 11,958), while Taiwan’s Yeh Chieh Chen rounded out the podium with a third-place prize of TWD 252,000 (~USD 7,778).

Japan’s Kanai Yuichi made his mark at APT Taipei 202 by capturing his maiden APT title in Event #67: Draw Poker Masters. A seasoned pro with over USD 100,000 in live earnings, Yuichi made his APT debut count, outlasting a 71-entry field to claim the title and TWD 273,000 (~USD 8,426) in prize money.

Compatriot Kazumasa Higuma finished second, securing TWD 235,260 (~USD 7,260), while Australia’s Mark Furniss – already with two final table finishes this series – came close yet again, ultimately rounding out the podium with a third-place haul of TWD 130,500 (~USD 4,027).

Japan’s Hirotoshi Nakabo earned his first APT title by taking down Event #68: PL Omaha High – Win the Button. A well-travelled pro closing in on USD 200,000 in live earnings, Nakabo overcame a 101-entry field to secure the top prize of TWD 319,411 (~USD 9,855).

Fellow countryman Keita Kitamura finished second and took home TWD 220,000 (~USD 6,790), while South Korea’s In Ho Song rounded out the podium in third for TWD 144,500 (~USD 4,460).

Chen Yi Hung added a second APT title to his poker résumé, outlasting a 428-entry field — one of the largest of the series for a side event — to win Event #70: NL Hold’em at APT Taipei 2025. The Taiwanese, who has now amassed over USD 50,000 in live earnings, secured TWD 1,267,400 (~USD 39,104) for his victory.

Singapore’s Ken Yeow Gary Tan battled his way to a second-place finish, earning TWD 1,000,000 (~USD 30,864), while compatriot Matthew Chan rounded out the podium in third with TWD 629,000 (~USD 19,412).

Craig Anthony Cooper further cemented his legacy on the APT circuit by capturing his ninth career APT title in Event #71: Limit – Quadruple Super Stud. The British mixed games veteran overcame a 42-entry field to earn TWD 117,413 (~USD 3,625), marking his second title of the series at APT Taipei 2025.

Compatriot Qibang Cheung, already a double title winner this series, was denied a third after finishing runner-up for TWD 81,000 (~USD 2,500). Australia’s Jarryd Godena rounded out the podium with a third-place finish, earning TWD 51,500 (~USD 1,588).
