Flight C of the APT Jeju Classic 2026 Main Event is done and dusted.

The third flight of the KRW 2,300,000 Main Event drew 290 entries (225 unique), cramming into Les A Casino, Jeju, and duelling it out at the tables over six 30-minute levels and four 45-minute levels.

After nearly six hours of play, 127 players were left standing to bag up their chips to take through to Day 2 tomorrow, February 4.

These 127 survivors will join the 275 from flights A and B, as well as the survivors from the final flight, which is currently running.

It was Vanuatu’s Junh Young Ki who ended the day with the chip lead, amassing a tasty 302,000 chips. Hot on Ki’s heels is China’s Lingfeng Sun with 275,900 chips, and rounding out the podium in third spot is Sun’s compatriot Cheng Xu Hu with 232,800 chips.

After falling short in the event’s previous flights, APT stalwarts Vietnam’s Nang Quang Nguyen, Germany’s Rene von Reden, and Russia’s Maxim Sorokin all got stacks into Day 2, finishing the day with 180,800 chips, 35,600 chips, and 34,500 chips, respectively.

Nguyen will be looking to add to his plethora of APT titles and put in a deep run to pull away from the USD 2m mark in lifetime earnings. Sitting just outside the top ten in 13th spot, he is in the hunt with a healthy stack.

APT Taipei Poker Classic 2024 Main Event champion von Reden is the second player in with a shout of becoming the first dual APT Lion Trophy winner after Japan’s Akira Takasugi made it through in Flight B but he has work to do.

Filipino James Mendoza is sitting pretty in ninth spot with 192,600 and will be pushing on for a deep run to take his lifetime earnings to near the USD 5m milestone and add to his collection of APT titles.

APT Manila 2024 Super High Roller champion Malaysia’s William Teoh takes 57,600 chips through to Day 2 and will be hoping to close in on the magical USD 1 milly threshold with a deep run.

China’s Congya Zhang squeaked into Day 2, but with 56,800 has work to do if she is to take her lifetime earnings to over the USD 300,000 mark.

APT Jeju 2024 Main Event champion China’s Xixiang Luo snuck into Day 2 with 45,100 chips and is rapidly closing in on the USD 7m mark.

Luo’s compatriot Super High Roller finalist Guoliang Wei is just behind Luo with 44,200 chips and hoping to cross the USD 3.5m mark with a deep run.

WSOP bracelet winner China’s Renji Mao also snuck into Day 2 with 36,100 chips and will be looking to add to his near USD 4.5m in recorded earnings.

It was all action on the second to last hand of the day at table 19!

Mizuno Yusuke moved all in from early position for his last 7,800 and action folded to Pong Poon in middle position who also moved all in for about 30,000. It was then on Yuriy Bilous in the cutoff who looked at his cards and also moved all in and had the table covered. The remaining players exited stage left sharply.

Mizuno Yusuke: A T

Pong Poon: A J

Yuriy Bilous: A Q

No help for Yusuke or Poon on the 7 9 5 flop and when the J peeeled off on the turn Poon mistakenly thought he had taken the lead by hitting his jack but was soon to realise it also made Bilous the nut flush to leave Poon and Yusuke drawing dead. The irrelevant J dropped on the river to rub it in for Poon and send both him and Yusuke to the rail just before the close of the day.

A commotion erupted at Table 24 as a four-way preflop all in was already underway.

Jing Wang: A A

Hyuma Igarashi: Q Q

Liang Jian Cheng: K K

Xixiang Luo: 9 9

Wang had the covering stack with aces and was poised to score a rare triple knockout.

The 6 8 6 flop changed nothing, but the Q got a collective "Oooohhh" from onlookers as Igarashi had spiked a set of queens to pull into the lead.

The 4 river changed nothing and Igarashi, who held the second-biggest stack with just under 60,000, doubled through Wang while also eliminating Cheng and Luo in the wild hand.

Preflop Raising War Ends in Double up for Hu

เลเวล 10: บลายด์ 700 / 1.4K - แอนเต้ 1.4K

Haizhi Fan opened from middle position and just behind him, Cheng Xu Hu three-bet to 8,000 from the hijack. Action folded back around to Fan, who made it 23,000 to go.

Undeterred, Hu five-bet to 44,000. Fan pondered a bit before announcing he was all-in and Hu snap-called all in for 89,500 total.

Cheng Xu Hu: A A

Haizhi Fan: A Q

It was bad timing from Fan, who found he was up against the preflop nuts of Hu.

The 4 J 7 4 8 runout completely bricked for Fan and he was forced to surrender the majority of his stack over to Hu.

Jin Doubles Through Mao

Action folded to Quan Jin in the cutoff, who open jammed all in for his last 13,900 . It was folded to Renji Mao in the big blind, who debated with himself for a short while and reluctantly tossed in the call to put Jin at risk.

Quan Jin: 8 8

Renji Mao: K 9

A safe flop of 6 7 4 came for Jin and when the 5 peeled off on the turn it got even better and made him a straight. No miracle eight on the river for Mao and Jin was shipped the pot for a full double-up.

Feng's Stack Soars as Okamura Busts for a Second Time

Motoyoshi Okamura has had a rough go of it today, previously busting to Sugai Yusuke in a three-way all in in the previous level, and most recently and busting to Lin Wang Feng.

In the hand, Okamura shoved for 22,000 on the button and it was folded to Feng, who peeked down at his hole cards and called from the big blind to put Okamura at risk.

Motoyoshi Okamura: A 8

Lin Wang Feng: 8 8

Okamura's best shot to double up was hitting an ace, but the 2 7 3 4 2 runout bricked out and Feng added Okamura's stack to his own.

Zhu Zhai Wang made it 2,500 to play from the cutoff and was looked up by Danil Karpov in the hijack and Xinchen He in the big blind.

The dealer rolled off the flop of 7 5 A . He checked, and Wang continued for 4,000, Karpov made the call, and He got out of the way.

The 7 peeled off on the turn, and Wang fired off a second bullet of 6,000, which again Karpov flat-called.

The river brought the Q and Wang moved all in for 15,600. Karpov tanked for a short while, and used one time bank before he tossed in the call and shortly after tossed his cards into the muck on seeing Wang table 7 5 : for a turned full house. The dealer flipped over Karpov's cards as it was an all-in situation and revealed A T .

Aleksei Efimov raised to 2,500 from the hijack and was called by Leonard Ng on the button. Danil Karpov then squeezed to 8,000 from the big blind, which got calls from both Efimov and Ng for an inflated three-way pot.

Karpov sized down for a 7,500 bet on the 2 6 Q flop, which got a call from Efimov and a fold from Ng.

The 5 fell on the turn and Karpov checked to Efimov, who used up a couple of time extensions before announcing he was all-in, which was enough to put Karpov all in for 46,000 total.

Karpov tanked a bit before saying, "I cannot fold this," and committing his chips into the middle.

Danil Karpov: A A

Aleksei Efimov: Q J

Karpov was well ahead with his aces and the 6 river changed nothing — awarding the large double up to Karpov and leaving Efimov with approximately 10,000 to work with.
