Calvin Lau

Chi Dung Tran opened to 120,000 from under the gun and Calvin Lau, directly to his left, reraised to 450,000 leaving behind 5,000. When action folded to the small blind, Anthony Kastelic five-bet all-in for 1,700,000.

Tran replied with his own all-in for 930,000. Lau asked for a count of Kastelic, then threw in his last 5,000-chip.

Calvin Lau: A K

Chi Dung Tran: K K

Anthony Kastelic: Q Q

Tran, in the lead, cheered upon seeing the hands tabled. But the dealer flopped A A 3 , pushing Lau into the lead.

Lau was looking at a potential triple when the 2 fell on the turn, while Tran was simply hoping of winning the side pot.

The river 7 secured Lau's triple up which Tran settled for the 940,000 side pot, all at the expense of Kastelic.
