JEJU, SOUTH KOREA, October 5, 2026 – The APT Jeju 2026 (#APTJeju2026) is entering the final stretch with two more days of top flight tournament action remaining before the APT’s 128th festival wraps up.

Day 11 of the festival saw the exciting finale of the brand new Baby Zodiac Challenge – Sponsored by Natural8, with India’s Tarun Guwalani etching his name in the tour record books as inaugural champion.

There were also the three opening flights of the KRW 125 million guaranteed Micro Main Event, which drew an 173-entry field, with the survivors returning on Tuesday, October 6 to compete for the silver lion silhouette trophy and KRW eight-figure KRW (USD five-figure) top prize.

Other side event action saw a further 8 events playing out at the tournament tables of LES A Casino inside the Jeju Shinhwa World resort. The highlight of the side event action was Day 1 of the two-day High Roller – Ultra Stack, and Omaha aficionados and mixed game enthusiasts had two Omaha tournaments, the Fixed Limit – Triple Draw Mix, and Hyper Turbo – NL R-O-S-E-T to entertain them. Baby Steps, Big Results for India’s Tarun Guwalani

India’s Tarun Guwalani laid down a definitive marker in the inaugural KRW 1.5M (~USD 1,100)buy-in Baby Zodiac Classic – Sponsored by Natural8, carving his name into Asian Poker Tour history.

The tournament drew a total of 223 entries (152 unique), with 69 players returning for the final day to contend for a share of the KRW 289,008,000 (~USD 217,300) prize pool—the tenth-largest purse of the festival so far.

A total of 31 places were paid, with min-cashes starting at KRW 2,540,000 (~USD 1,910). Guwalani eventually defeated China’s Hongbo Pan after a 29 hand heads up battle spanning close to three 40-minute levels, battling back from a slight 4:5 chip deficit to secure the KRW 61,158,000 (~USD 45,980) top prize—the second largest of his poker career—and his first APT title. Pan, playing for his maiden APT title, earned a career-best KRW 41,150,000 (~USD 30,940) for his runner-up finish.

The UK's Ryan Plant capped off a stellar series with a third-place finish for KRW 29,020,000 (~USD 21,820). It marked Plant's fifth cash of the festival, and fourth final table—including a title win—pushing his total festival earnings past USD 194,000.

Natural8 ambassador Hua Wei Lin narrowly missed out on making her 26th career APT final table, cashing in 10th place for KRW 5,920,000 (~USD 3,980).

Other notables to make the paying positions included former APT High Roller champion Trung Quan Nguyen (13th), former APT Jeju Main Event champion Abraham Ceesvin (18th), start-of-day chip leader Leonard Ng (21st), Russia’s Dmitrii Belikov (23rd), the Philippines’ David “Spade” Erquiaga (28th), and bracelet winner Maxim Lykov (31st).

Japan’s Haruki Ichiki Leads Micro Main Event; 26 Players Advance to Final Day

Running from Monday, October 5 to Tuesday, October 6, the KRW 750K (~USD 550) buy-in Micro Main Event drew a total of 173 entries (98 unique) across three opening flights.

With 14 percent of each flight advancing, just 26 players have progressed to the Final Day to battle for the silver lion silhouette trophy and title as well as a share of the KRW 125,000,000 (~USD 93,985) prize pool.

Min-cashes start at KRW 1,260,000 (~USD 950), with the eventual champion taking home a KRW 27,980,000 top prize in addition to the silver lion silhouette trophy and title.

Flight A

The opening Flight A was the largest of the three flights drawing 81 players who fought it out at the felt over sixteen 30-minute levels with 12 players making it through to the final day and the paying positions.

Main Event finalist Weimin Chen is leading the charge after bagging up 450,000 in chips, putting him second in the overall counts. Compatriot Guanglin Chen sits close behind on 434,000 with the duo the only two players to finish the flight on stacks of over 400K.

Ethiopia’s Berhanu Kassa rounded out the top three after bagging up 287,000, with other notables to make the cut including Taiwan’s Maggie Weng (116,000), and Mystery Bounty Hunter champion Daisuke Abiko (81,000).

Flight B

A further 56 entries jumped into Flight B and duked it out over twenty-one 20-minute levels.

It was Japan’s Haruki Ichiki bagging up a tournament topping 556,000, putting him in pole position coming into the final day.

Hong Kong’s Tsz Yeung Ka (336,000), and Dejin Xu (229,000) rounded out the top three, with 8 players making it through to the final day.

Flight C

The third and final Turbo Flight C attracted 36 runners, with 6 of them fighting their way through to the paying positions.

China’s Yingjie Chen summited the Flight C leaderboard with 372,000—the only player to close out the flight with over 300K—and will be returning fourth in the final day rankings.

Chen’s compatriots Yuxuan Hou (183,000), and Su Jing (180,000) finished some way behind to round out the top three, with Natural8 ambassador Hui Wei Lin (125,000) also making the cut.
