JEJU, SOUTH KOREA, October 7, 2026 – The fourth festival of the APT’s landmark 20-Year Anniversary season—the APT Jeju 2026 (#APTJeju2026)—has concluded at the LES A Casino inside the Jeju Shinhwa World resort, surpassing the previous benchmark established during the 2025 edition of the series.

Hosted in partnership with Landing Entertainment Korea (LEK) from September 25 to October 7, the 13-day series delivered high-stakes drama setting three major prize pool records for the tour in South Korea across the USD 25K Superstar Challenge, the Baby Superstar Challenge, and the APT High Roller.

The festival featured epic storylines, including Berhanu Kassa becoming the APT's first-ever Ethiopian champion, and Natural8 ambassador Nevan Chang securing a career-best score in the richest non-Championship USD 25K Superstar Challenge in APT history.

Demonstrating the APT’s global appeal, the festival saw 1,222 unique players from 43 different countries and regions generate 10,667 entries across 130 trophy events and three satellites, with the series awarding a staggering total of KRW 19,437,344,765 (~USD 14,614,545) in prize money.

APT Jeju 2026 by the Numbers

In terms of prize money played for, this is the second most successful festival the tour has run in South Korea, just behind the record-breaking APT Jeju Classic 2026 in terms of KRW—19.4B vs 19.5B—and the most successful South Korean festival ever in terms of USD—14.5M vs 13.5M—which makes it the third most successful festival in APT history – just behind APT Taipei 2025 (USD 20M), and APT Taipei 2026 (USD 19.1M).

The APT Jeju 2026 festival saw a five percent (5.2%) increase in prize money over the APT Jeju 2025 festival. The figures mark a continued multi-year surge for the festival in Jeju, which has now boosted prize pools by over 57 percent (57.5%) since 2024.

The series drew one four-figure field and generated six ten-figure KRW prize pools, which included three seven-figure USD prize pools, led by the APT Jeju 2026 Main Event.

The flagship KRW 2.7M (~USD 1,900) tournament drew 1,375 entries (696 unique) from 36 countries and regions, generating the richest prize pool of the festival – a massive KRW 3,207,600,000 (~USD 2,393,730).

This stands as the third-richest APT Main Event in South Korean history, just behind the record-breaking APT Jeju 2025 Main Event, and the subsequent record-breaking APT Jeju Classic 2026 Main Event, and is the sixth-richest non-Championship Main Event overall.

Inside the Top 10 Events Driving 68% of APT’s Jeju’s Prize Pools

  • Capital Concentration: Out of KRW 19.44 Billion (~$14.61M USD) awarded across 134 events, the Top 10 tournaments generated KRW 13.14 Billion (~USD 9.88M)—commanding 67.6% of the entire festival's prize money.
  • The "Billion-Won" Club: Exactly six tournaments broke the 10-figure KRW barrier (>KRW 1,000,000,000 / ~$750K+ USD), anchored by the flagship Main Event at KRW 3.21B.
  • Volume vs. Buy-in Polarization: These 10 events captured 4,143 total entries (38.8% of the festival’s 10,667 total entries), split evenly between mass-market flagship fields and elite high-roller buy-ins.
  • Largest First Prize Belonged to the SuperStar Challenge: Despite the Main Event having a prize pool almost double in size, Event #35 SuperStar Challenge awarded the festival's largest individual first prize (KRW 451.78M / USD 337,150 to Nevan Chang), surpassing Main Event winner Jianfeng Sun's payout (KRW 427.57M / USD 319,080).
  • High Roller Supremacy: 6 of the Top 10 tournaments were pure High Roller formats (#35, #10, #87, #33, #54, and #78), collectively generating KRW 7.15 Billion (~USD 5.38M). This indicates substantial nosebleed liquidity and multi-bullet demand in Jeju.
  • The Big Three Attendance Anchors: Three events supplied the bulk of festival participation among the top tier:
  1. Main Event: 1,375 entries (696 unique players)
  2. Mini Main Event: 713 entries (385 unique players)

  • International Title Dispersal: The 10 biggest titles were won by players representing 7 distinct countries/regions (China, United Kingdom, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, Australia, Austria), with China and the United Kingdom capturing multiple top-tier victories.
