Action in the KRW 1.5M Event #77: NL Hold'em - Freezeout got underway at 11:30am local time on Saturday, May 4, with the tournament drawing 73 entries.
Players duked it out over twenty-seven 25-minute levels to claim a share of the KRW 95,593,500 (~USD 70,460) prize pool, but with only the top nine places paid the vast majority would be departing empty-handed.
It was China’s Hui Wang the man to freeze out the opposition, overcoming Japan’s Hiroyuki Noda heads-up to earn his third cash of the festival and take the KRW 27,863,500 (~USD 20,560) top prize, earning his maiden APT title in the process.
Noda took KRW 20,070,000 (~USD 14,800) for his runner-up finish, with China’s Yu Chao Pan rounding out the last of the podium places and earning KRW 13,050,000 (~USD 9,630) for his third-place finish, with the tournament paying out as follows:

Playing out concurrently with Main Event and Day 1 of the APT High Roller, the KRW 600,000 Event #75: PL Omaha Hi-Lo - 5 Card (Big O) drew 28 entries (19 unique), with players battling it out over twenty-three 25-minute levels for a share of the KRW 14,666,400 (~USD 10,800) prize pool.
For the second time this festival it was Japan’s Suguru Nogi claiming the accolades and the KRW 5,436,400 (~USD 11,390) top prize, defeating Taiwan’s Li Ta “Leon” Hsu heads-up to earn his second APT title of the series, both of which have come in Omaha events.
Hsu earned his sixth cash of the series, banking KRW 3,740,000 (~USD 2,760) for his runner-up finish, with compatriot Yun Li rounding out the podium and taking KRW 2,380,000 (~USD 1,755) for third place. A total of five players made the money, with the tournament paying out as follows:

It took Sam a speedy twelve 15-minute levels to hoist the trophy and claim the KRW 2,149,160 (~USD 1,585) top prize, defeating Taiwan’s Hung Hsiang Wu heads-up to earn his second career APT title.
Wu walked away with KRW 1,440,000 (~USD 1,060) for his runner-up finish, with China’s Haoyu Wang the only other player to cash, claiming KRW 900,000 (~USD 665) for third place.

A last-minute addition to the schedule to sate the APT high roller contingent’s hunger for action, the KRW 3,000,000 Event #92: Turbo - High Roller drew 22 entries (17 unique), generating a KRW 57,618,000 (~USD 42,485) prize pool.
It was Natural8 Ambassador Yu Chung “Nevan” Chang topping the podium after the fourteen fast-paced 15-minute levels played out, overcoming Hong Kong’s Dicky Tsang heads-up to claim a sixth career APT title and the KRW 24,208,000 (~USD 17,860) top prize, denying Tsang his sixth title in the process.
Tsang, making his third final table appearance of the festival, banked KRW 16,130,000 (~USD 11,900) for his runner-up finish – his eighth cash of the series.
Chang’s fellow ambassador Kannapong “Tent” Thanarattrakul also earned a podium finish, taking KRW 10,370,000 (~USD 7,650) for third, with China’s Wenguo Lin the only other player to cash.

A faster version of the Double Stack event designed to play out in a day with turbo-charged 10-minute levels, the KRW 600,000 Event #80: Hyper Turbo Double Stack drew 61 entries (57 unique), generating a KRW 31,951,800 (~USD 23,560) prize pool
It was China’s Congya Zhang who fought her way through the field to claim the KRW 9,311,800 (~USD 6,870) top prize, defeating the Philippines Cezar Quiambao heads-up to earn her maiden APT title.
Quiambao banked KRW 6,710,000 (~USD 4,950) for his runner-up finish, with China’s Wenhao Ying completing the last of the podium places and taking KRW 4,360,000 (~USD 3,220) for third place. A total of nine players made the money with the tournament paying out as follows:

Yan Shing “Anson” Tsang has proved his poker nous on pokers biggest stage on three occasions, cementing his hero status by taking down the KRW 300,000 Event #81: Hyper Turbo - NL 8 Game (H-E-R-O-S, Omaha High, Single Draw 2-7, A-5) to earn his third career APT title.
Tsang saw off challenges from the 27-strong (19 unique) field to claim the largest portion of the KRW 6,914,160 (~USD 5,100) prize pool, defeating Australian mixed game specialist Mark Furniss heads up to earn a KRW 2,904,160 (~USD 2,140) top prize.
Furniss, who was on the hunt for his fourth APT mixed game title, took KRW 1,940,000 (~USD 1,430) for his runner-up finish, with Taiwan’s Yu Sheng Lin (3rd) and compatriot Li Ta “Leon” Hsu (4th) were the only other players to cash, with the tournament paying out as follows:
