Second Series Title for Keita Kitamura in Event #82: PL Omaha High

The TWD 10,000 Event #82: PL Omaha High saw 104 entries (60 unique) compete over thirty 15-minute levels, all looking to earn a share of the TWD 897,832 (~USD 28,500) prize pool.

It was Japan’s Keita Kitamura who took the lion’s share after cutting a three-way deal with opponents Hiu Tung Chan and Kok Wei Teoh, defesting Hong Kong’s Chan heads-up to claim a TWD 175,134 top prize.

Chan collected TWD 157,349 (~USD 5,010) for second place, with Malaysia’s Teoh taking the same for third. A total of 15 players made the money, with the tournament paying out as follows:

Taiwan’s Yu Sheng Lin Wins Maiden APT Title in Event #84: 8 Game

The TWD 6,000 Event #84: 8 Game (Limit H-E-R-O-S, + PLO, NLH, 2-7 Triple Draw) saw 40 players in action (33 unique) battling it out over twenty-four 20-minute levels for a share of the **TWD 202,536 (~USD 6,455) prize pool.

It was local player Yu Sheng Lin who took the trophy, claiming his maiden APT title and a top prize of TWD 69,535 (~USD 2,215) bring his total number of series final tables up to four.

Compatriot Li-Ta “Leon” Hsu claimed silver and a payout of TWD 48,000 (~USD 1,530) for second place, with Hong Kong’s Clement Chau rounding out the winner’s podium, claiming bronze and a payout of TWD 30,000 (~USD 955) for third place, with the tournament paying out as follows:

Japan’s Atsushi Takeuchi & Kysuke Nagumi Win Event #85: NL Hold'em - Teams Event

A new addition to the schedule, the TWD 10,000 Event #85: NL Hold'em - Teams Event (TWD 20K Buy-In Per Team / 2 Players) drew 104 entries split into 52 teams of two.

Both players from each team pilot their own stacks separately, with team members not permitted to play the same table (unless it was the final table. Upon elimination of a team member, players swap places every level to take turns playing the remaining stack, with any prizes claimed shared equally between both players. As an added bonus, 20% of the prize pool was awarded to the last team of two still standing.

It was Thailand’s Phongsatorn Panchakabut and Kiwanont Sukham who claimed this honor, earning TWD 93,600 (~USD 2,980) apiece for their efforts, plus TWD 50,500 (~USD 1,600) each for their third-place finish.

However, it was Japan’s Atsushi Takeuchi and Kysuke Nagumi who claimed the trophy, and title with the duo receiving payouts of TWD 108,360 (~USD 3,450) each for their victory. A total of 16 players made the money, with the tournament payouts as follows:

Hong Kong’s Yik Long Wong Wins Event #86: Turbo - Double Stack

The TWD 12,000 Event #86: Turbo - Double Stack drew the second-largest tournament field of the day with 211 (188 unique) entries fighting it out at the felt over twenty-six 15-minute levels in an attempt to win a share of the TWD 2,185,876 (~USD 69,700) prize pool.

Hong Kong’s Yik Long Wong took the lion’s share, defeating the Philippines’ Jonald Garcia heads-up to claim a TWD 463,876 (~USD 14,790) top prize and his maiden live tournament title, with Garcia receiving a payout of TWD 311,000 (9,910) for his runner-up finish.

Taiwan’s Chia Lin Huang claimed a TWD 219,000 (~USD 6,980) payout for third place, with a total of 31 players making the money and the final table paying out a follows:

The late night TWD 20,000 Event #87: Hyper Turbo - High Roller attracted 38 high-rolling entries (33 unique), generating a TWD 663,480 (~USD 21,125) prize pool.

It was Japan’s Masaki Nakamura who nailed down the win, with the action playing out over nineteen turbo-charged 10-minute levels. Nakamura bested Malaysia’s Shu Yih Ng heads-up to claim his second career APT title, and his first of the series, banking a TWD 245,480 (~USD 7,820) top prize, with Ng receiving a TWD 169,000 (~USD 5,385) consolation prize for his runner-up finish.

Japan’s Takaaki Suzuki completed the winner’s triumvirate, taking TWD 108,000 (USD 3,440) for third place, with Japan’s Hirokazu Kobayashi and Hong Kong’s Sparrow Cheung the only two other players to make the money, with the tournament paying out as follows:

Australia’s Mark Furniss has become the second player this series to score a third title win, taking down the TWD 5,000 Event #88: Hyper Turbo - NL Single Draw Mix (A-5, 2-7, Badugi).

Furniss saw off challenges from a 25-strong (21 unique) field to scoop the largest slice of the TWD 105,487 (~USD 21,125) prize pool, defeating France’s Paul Tedeschi heads-up to earn a TWD 43,487 (~USD 1,385) top prize and bag his third Baby Lion Trophy of the series.

Tedeschi took TWD 30,000 (~USD 955) for his runner-up finish, with South Korea’s Jung Woong Park collecting TWD 19,000 (~USD 605) for third place. Australia’s Joan Allen was the only other player to make the money, with the tournament paying out as follows:

The tournament played out over a lightning-fast twenty-nine 5-minute levels, with Taiwan’s Chuyi Huang piloting his stack over the finish line to claim a TWD 129,560 (~USD 4,130) top prize, bagging his maiden APT title in the process.
