APT TAIPEI 2025 SCHEDULE | OFFICIAL RESULTS | PLAYER LISTS | IMAGES | WINNERS

TAIPEI, TAIWAN, APRIL 28, 2025 – Records were shattered today after Event #42: High Roller – Ultra Stack drew a staggering 354 entries, generating an all-time high prize pool of TWD 22,939,200 (~USD 707,062) — the largest ever for a High Roller Ultra Stack event in the APT New Era. All previous records for entries, total prize pool, and first-place prize were shattered, with the figures more than doubling the previous best set at APT Taipei Poker Classic 2024. With TWD 4,465,700 (~USD 137,741) awaiting the champion and 47 players set to be paid, the stage is set for one of the biggest final days for the event in recent memory.

Australian pro Julian-Andrew Warhurst closed out Day 1 as the overall chip leader, bagging a commanding 2,024,000 chips. With over USD 1 million in live earnings and two APT titles already under his belt, Warhurst now finds himself in prime position to chase a third APT title. The seasoned pro has shown that he knows how to navigate deep fields, and he will be a major threat when play resumes.

In pursuit is Japan’s Takashi Taniguchi, who finished Day 1 with 1,576,000 chips. Although lesser known than his fellow chipleaders, Taniguchi has quietly built a strong stack and is in a great position to challenge for a breakthrough APT title.

Also among the leaders is the United Kingdom’s Michael Allen, who ended the day with 1,479,000 chips. Nearing USD 1 million in career earnings, Allen is hoping to kick start his APT Taipei campaign with a major title.

With 117 players still in the hunt, the Final Day for the event promises an electrifying conclusion to what has already been a history-making tournament.

Here are the top ten chip stacks going into the Final Day:
