PokerOrg becomes APT’s official global media partner, bringing the tour’s story to a worldwide audience
PokerOrg becomes the Official Media Partner of the Asian Poker Tour (APT) through an exclusive global partnership announced today, marking the beginning of a collaboration designed to bring APT’s growth to a worldwide audience, while expanding the tour’s visibility, participation, and narrative beyond its regional base.
Since the ‘APT New Era’ began in 2023, the Asian Poker Tour has become the fastest growing poker tour in the world over the past three years. The recent launch of the APT Championship, the tour’s global flagship, generated more than $34 million in prize money in its debut edition, reflecting both the scale of demand and the trajectory of the tour.
Under the agreement, PokerOrg will serve as APT’s official global storytelling and audience development partner across the remaining 2026 tour stops: APT Taipei (April/May), APT Incheon (August), APT Jeju (September/October), and the APT Championship (November) – which will, again, take place in Taipei. Together, these events form a connected global season, with PokerOrg’s coverage designed to build narrative continuity and repeat engagement across each stop. The partnership will deliver creator-led storytelling, social-first content, and integrated event coverage across PokerOrg’s platforms, reaching more than 29 million people across its social and digital platforms each month.
Live poker has entered a renewed growth phase in recent years, with record participation and a new generation of players entering the game through digital and social channels. Increasingly, that growth is being driven outside traditional markets, with Asia-Pacific emerging as one of the fastest-expanding regions for live tournament poker.
Despite this momentum, much of APT’s growth has remained underrepresented in global media coverage. This partnership is designed to close that gap.
“APT has been one of the most important stories in poker for several years, but much of the global audience hasn’t experienced it yet,” said Eric Hollreiser, CEO of PokerOrg parent company Triple Barrel Media. “This partnership changes that, not by reporting on APT from the outside, but by bringing players inside it and making it matter to a global audience.”
“PokerOrg is the gold standard in poker media, so bringing them on as our Official Media Partner is a natural fit. Their values around integrity and how they approach the game are fully aligned with APT.” said Fred Leung, CEO of the Asian Poker Tour. “This partnership is another step forward as we continue to expand our global presence.”
PokerOrg’s coverage model is built around creator-led, first-person storytelling. Through its Inside the Rail format, PokerOrg will embed creators directly inside APT events, capturing the pressure, decision-making, and emotional moments of tournament play from the player’s perspective. This approach delivers a level of access and immediacy that traditional reporting cannot, creating deeper engagement and stronger narrative continuity across the season.
A dedicated APT hub on Poker.org will serve as the central destination for the tour’s global audience, featuring event schedules, player stories, results, and editorial coverage, alongside ongoing narrative tracking across the 2026 season. The hub is designed not just as a content library, but as a platform for discovery, repeat engagement, and deeper audience connection to the tour.
The partnership will also extend PokerOrg’s Pick 3 format to the APT Championship for the first time. Winners receive a package to an APT event in 2027. Pick 3 allows fans to draft a team of three players and follow their performance throughout the event, creating a direct participation layer that encourages repeat engagement and introduces new audiences to the players, stakes, and storylines of APT’s flagship tournament.
Together, PokerOrg and APT will work to help establish one of poker’s fastest-growing tours as a globally followed experience, connecting new audiences to the game and creating clearer pathways from content to participation.
