JEJU, SOUTH KOREA, September 25, 2026– The 2026 APT Jeju is officially underway, with the opening day of action bringing players from across the region and beyond to the tables for the start of another packed festival. With the first trophies already finding new homes and plenty more action still to come, Day 1 provided a lively start to what promises to be an exciting thirteen days of poker on Jeju Island.

Ye Breaks Through for Maiden APT Title in Event #3: Single Day High Roller

Ye starts hot on the opening day of the festival with her first APT title

China’s Yi Ye made her first APT victory a big one, taking down the first Single Day High Roller of APT Jeju 2026 for KRW 40,530,000 (~USD 29,911).

Ye had recorded 11 APT cashes prior to the event but had yet to get her hands on a trophy. That changed on the opening day in Jeju, with Ye overcoming an all-Chinese top four to secure her maiden APT title.

An ICM deal was struck in the closing stages, with chip leader Ye taking home the title and trophy. Fellow Chinese players Zhuoqun Zhang and Yaoyu He rounded out the podium, with Zhang collecting KRW 37,226,000 (~USD 27,473) as runner-up and He taking home KRW 20,220,000 (~USD 14,923) for third.

Li Lands Third APT Title in Event #2: PL Omaha Hi-Lo - 5 Card (Big O)

Li draws first blood at APT Jeju 2026

China’s Zehao Li became one of the first champions crowned at APT Jeju 2026, coming out on top in Event #2: PL Omaha Hi-Lo - 5 Card (Big O) as the festival got underway on Jeju Island. Li earned KRW 4,967,728 (~USD 3,666) for the victory and added a third APT title to his résumé.

Russia’s Pavel Platonov came closest to denying Li the victory, eventually settling for second place and KRW 3,310,000 (~USD 2,443). Taylor Atchison of the United States completed the podium in third, collecting KRW 2,130,000 (~USD 1,572).

Hsu Claims Second APT Title in Event #4: Fixed Limit - Triple Draw Mix (A-5, 2-7)

Hsu makes a winning start at APT Jeju 2026

Taiwan’s Yih Ming Hsu added another trophy during the opening-day action at APT Jeju 2026, taking down Event #4: Fixed Limit - Triple Draw Mix (A-5, 2-7) for KRW 2,787,584 (~USD 2,057).

The victory earned Hsu his second APT title and pushed him closer to another career milestone, with the Taiwanese player now approaching the USD 100,000 mark in recorded live tournament earnings.

The only other player to make the money was the United States’ Brian Mitchell Pizza, who finished runner-up for KRW 1,570,000 (~USD 1,159).

Lei Breaks Through for Maiden APT Title in Event #5: Turbo - High Roller

Lei finally takes down his first APT title

China’s Yuan Lei added an APT trophy to an already impressive poker résumé after taking down Event #5: Turbo - High Roller on the opening day of APT Jeju 2026.

The Chinese professional entered the event with over USD 1.1 million in recorded live tournament earnings, but an APT title had so far eluded him. Lei changed that in Jeju, securing his maiden APT title along with the KRW 6,358,000 (~USD 4,692) top prize.

Thailand’s Pongsapak Himathongkom finished runner-up for KRW 4,240,000 (~USD 3,129), while Japan’s Daisuke Sato rounded out the podium in third for KRW 2,650,000 (~USD 1,956).

Dou Captures Maiden APT Title in Event #6: Hyper Turbo - NLH

Dou makes his first run in the festival count for his first APT title

China’s Bo Dou secured his first piece of APT silverware after racing to victory in Event #6: Hyper Turbo - NLH, earning KRW 4,700,496 (~USD 3,469) and his maiden APT title.

Dou led another strong showing from the Chinese contingent, with compatriots Zhenghao Zhou and Zhijian Shen joining him on the podium. Zhou finished runner-up for KRW 3,240,000 (~USD 2,391), while Shen collected KRW 2,070,000 (~USD 1,528) for third.

Zheng Secures Second APT Title in Event #7: Hyper Turbo - NL Omaha High

Zheng is off to the races with his second APT title

China’s Houyu Zheng raced to his second APT title after coming out on top in Event #7: Hyper Turbo - NL Omaha High, earning KRW 3,090,288 (~USD 2,281) for the victory.

Zheng got the better of Taiwan’s Pu Lin heads-up, with Lin collecting KRW 2,070,000 (~USD 1,528) for his runner-up finish. China’s Zhihao Zhang completed the podium in third for KRW 1,330,000 (~USD 982).

Li Lands Maiden APT Title in Event #8: Super Hyper Turbo - NLH

Li takes home his first APT title

China’s Yongliang Li closed out the opening day of APT Jeju 2026 in winning fashion, taking down Event #8: Super Hyper Turbo - NLH for his maiden APT title and KRW 2,420,460 (~USD 1,786).

It was an all-Chinese affair at the top of the standings, with Yixi Tang finishing runner-up for KRW 1,610,000 (~USD 1,188), while Dapeng Chen rounded out the podium in third for KRW 1,040,000 (~USD 768).
