Current Overall Main Event Chip Leader Shawn Cheng Hong Lee

Flight B of the APT Incheon 2026 Main Event is in the books, with Singapore’s Shawn Cheng Hong Lee taking the current overall chip lead.

The second live flight of the KRW 2,500,000 Main Event drew 222 entries (187 unique) to Paradise City in Incheon, where the field played through six 45-minute levels followed by four 60-minute levels.

Combined with the 282 OnLive entries already recorded on Natural8, the Main Event field now stands at 669 entries. Thirty-nine players advanced from the OnLive stage directly to Day 3 and the paying positions, while two live starting flights remain on August 11.

After nearly 12 hours of play, 91 players survived Flight B and will return for Day 2 on August 12.

Lee finished with 329,000, moving ahead of Flight A leader Takayuki Akamatsu to take the overall lead. Hong Kong’s Ka Lok Lam bagged 304,900, while Japan’s Shota Nakanishi completed the top three with 287,000.

APT MAIN EVENT FLIGHT B TOP TEN STACKS

Plenty of APT regulars and recognizable names joined the second flight hoping to secure a Day 2 stack, although several fell before play concluded.

Vietnam’s Trung Quan Nguyen, winner of the APT Phu Quoc 2023 Super High Roller and APT Taipei 2025 High Roller, was among the late eliminations.

Unfortunate Back to Back Late Casulty Jennifer Cassell

APT Championship 2025 Women’s Event champion Jennifer Cassell was also eliminated late in the day for the second flight running. Natural8 ambassador Hua Wei Lin and Cassell’s fellow Australian Aaron Lim were unable to find bags either.

John Perry

Several notable players did make it through, led by Australia’s John Perry, who finished fifth in the Flight B counts with 228,300. With plenty of deep runs and titles already on his record, Perry will be one to watch when Day 2 begins.

Phanlert Sukonthachartnant

Thailand’s Kiwanont Sukhum bagged 73,400, while APT Taipei 2024 Super High Roller champion Phanlert Sukonthachartnant advanced with 56,200.

Taiwan’s Nevan Chang, a Natural8 ambassador and multiple APT title winner, also secured his place on Day 2 with 98,100.

The USA’s Hal Rotholz finished with 89,000. The four-time APT champion has the experience required to build from a middle-of-the-pack stack and make another run at a tour title.

WSOP bracelet winner Webster Lim will return with 39,300. The Malaysian has some work ahead when play resumes, but his tournament record means he cannot be ruled out.

Two live starting flights remain on August 11. Flight C begins at 11 AM, followed by the final opportunity to qualify through Flight D at 6 PM.

The remaining 91 players have bagged their chips signifying the end of the day.

Chin Wei Lim, under the gun, opened to 3,000 and Trung Quan Nguyen called. Ka Lok Lam in middle position three-bet to 9,000. Yoshitaka Yagi four-bet to 26,000 pushing Lim and Nguyen out of the pot.

The flop came K K J prompting Nguyen to shou out in joy. Yagi got to his feet and started leaving as the dealer completed the board with the runout 3 3 giving Lam a full house.

Jennifer Cassell

Max Pinnola made it 2,800 to play from the small blind only for Jennifer Cassell to three-bet to 10,000 from the big blind. Pinnola thought for a while and then four-bet all in and had Cassell covered, who snap-called.

Cassell was looking good for a double until the dealer peeled off the flop of 6 5 J to send Pinnola into the lead. Cassell got no help on the T turn nor the 7 river and was sent to the rail in a cruel fashion.

The clock has now been paused and there will be five more hands dealt for the day.

After that, the remaining players will bag up their chips to return for Day 2 on August 11.

Shota Nakanishi

Action was picked up with a huge pile of chips worth 40,000 beside a T 7 T 6 board. Shota Nakanishi in hijack raised cutoff, Tsu Hao Wang's 20,000 bet and made it 50,000.

Wang went into the tank needing to burn a time card to consider his options. He called to see the last card.

Nakanishi shoved all-in for 82,700 on the river Q . Wang visibly frustrated mulled things over with a time card burned once again. He threw in a chip for a call then tabled A A . Nakanishi showed 6 6 for a turned full house prompting Wang to leave the table disgusted.

Yuichi Sumida

Shunsuke Nishimoto in the big blind and Yuichi Sumida in the cutoff had already built a pot of 7,000 beside the 6 4 J flop.

Both players checked to see the 7 turn. Nishimito fired 3,500 and Sumida called.

The river produced a 2 . Nishimoto fired another 3,200 which Sumida called. Nishimoto turned over J 9 for a flopped pair. Sumida tapped the table then mucked his hand as he quietly waited for the next hand.

Nishimoto scooped the pot putting him back to around starting stack.

Shogo Isogai opened for 2,500 from the button, only for Wanhao Zhao to three-bet to 7,000 from the small blind.

Hal Rotholz flat-called from the big blind and action was back on Isogai who after a short tank, moved all in for 24,000. Zhao folded and Rotholz snap-called.

A clean run out for Isogai of Q 2 Q A A and he was sent the pot for a double-up.

Saki Hayashi

A 13,000 pot was sitting in the middle of the table as Yoshitaka Yagi, in middle position, and Saki Hayashi, in cutoff, waited for the flop.

It came down 6 7 9 . After a check, Hayashi fired 5,000 which prompted Yagi to shove all-in for 110,000. Hayashi, covered, quickly called.

Hayashi's aces held on the runout 8 3 giving her a much needed double up on the penultimate level of the day.

Mayuko Sawada

Action folded to Xu Chunnuan in the cutoff, who opened to 2,500. Tsuyoshi Matsuoka made the call from the small blind and action was on Mayuko Sawada in the big blind, who put in a three-bet to 10,000, which found two calls.

On the 3 9 5 flop Matsuoka checked to Sawada, who continued for 10,500 and again found two calls.

The J peeled off on the turn and Matsuoka checked once more to Sawada, who thought for a while and sized up her opponent's stacks, before she moved all in covering both players.

Both opponents folded after brief tanks and Sawada was pushed the sizeable pot.
