Mystery Bounty Hunter KRW 225,000,000 GTD - Sponsored by Natural8 - Final Day

The APT Incheon Mystery Bounty Hunter Event - Sponsored by Natural8 has been won by Dicky Siu Hang "Tricky Dicky" Tsang. The Hong Kong resident bested a field of 368 entries, taking home a top prize of KRW 32,561,200 (~$24,585).

This is Tsang's fourth APT title after winning the APT Incheon Main Event in 2019 and two other Events at APT Seoul 2019. Tsang's nickname "Tricky Dicky" was coined today as he maneuvered through the field cautiously and let other people step into his traps along the way.

During the heads-up, Tsang pulled off a fantastic comeback to deny Shiina Okamoto her maiden APT title. Due to bounties, Okamoto was, however, the biggest winner in this event, claiming KRW 33,300,000 (~$25,145) in prize money.

A total of 52 survivors returned to Paradise City to try and snatch as many bounties as possible. The top bounty was set at KRW 20,000,000 (~$15,100) and it would take until the final table to see this fantastic prize won.

At the start of the day, our overwhelming chip leader was Russia's Vladislav Klepikov, but several lost pots in the first level of the day ensured he was no contender for a deep run. Klepikov would eventually bust out in 32nd place.

The biggest prize winner who would not make the final table was Taiwan's David Hsing Hsiung Tai, who busted out of the tournament in 16th place after he got it in on the turn with two pairs against the top pair of Shiina Okamoto. A very unfortunate river eliminated Tai from the event, but his disappointment would not take long as he pulled out the second-biggest bounty, winning a total of KRW 17,230,000 (~$13,010).

Within 5 hours of play on Day 2, we reached the final table. The action would not slow down from here either, as we lost two more players in the first level of the final table.

Daichi Tsuji busted in 8th place after he lost with ten-eight against Okamoto's eight-six. A rivered straight sent Tsuji to the rail. His disappointment was washed away within seconds as he pulled out the highest bounty from the envelope. Tsuji would win a total of KRW 23,950,000 (~$18,085).

Two hands later, Tung Wing Wong from China would hit the rail when his pocket kings got cracked preflop all-in by the pocket eights of Joon Hee Park. Wong took home KRW 6,260,000 (~$4,725).

The cruel beats kept on coming as Okamoto crushed Kyosuke Nagami's dreams by spiking her six after she pushed all in with queen-six against Nagami's ace-queen. A stunned Nagami departed in 6th place, winning KRW 8,940,000 (~$6,750).

Okamoto was on fire, hitting the right cards at the right time. Another perfect example was the bust out of Joon Hee Park in 5th place. A major setup occurred between Park and Okamoto as the lone Korean flopped a straight against the only female at the table.

Okamoto had two pairs and needed one of the remaining nines or queens to come to make her a full house. Right away, the turn completed her boat, meaning Park was eliminated in 5th place, banking KRW 9,530,000 (~$7,200).

The following hand we lost Ryosuke Mitsuhashi who pushed all-in with an up-and-down straight draw and was called by Tae Hoon Han's top pair top kicker. It was Mitsuhashi's first ever official cash in a live tournament. His 4th place finish will only make him more hungry. The Japanese player picked up KRW 12,040,000 (~$9,090) at the cashier.

At the final 3, it was not looking good for "Tricky Dicky". Tsang needed to come up with something special; First, Tsang doubled up with pocket queens versus the nine-eight of Tae Hoon Han, and not much later, Han helped him even more by losing almost all his chips with a bluff against Okamoto. The last of Han's chips were lost in a cooler situation as he picked up ace-queen and ran into the kings of Okamoto. The Kiwi's deep run was rewarded with a payout of KRW 18,290,000 (~$13,810).

Everything was set for Okamoto's maiden APT title as she went into the heads-up with a ten-to-one chip lead. An early double-up for Tsang switched the momentum completely, and from thereon, "Tricky Dicky" grinded his way back into the heads-up.

The tables were turned after a massive misstep from Okamoto with queen-deuce against Tsang's ace-queen. Tsang completed his comeback by winning the last hand with pocket queens against Okamoto's ace-jack.

The fantastic run of Shiina Okamoto has resulted in a runner-up finish. It looked like she was going to win her first APT trophy, but Dicky Siu Hang "Tricky Dicky" Tsang grinded his way back into this heads-up. After a massive blow-up by Okamoto she was down to only 3 big blinds.

Okamoto was able to double up 3-times in a row until the ultimate cooler resulted in her runner-up finish. In the last hand of the day, Tsang went all-in preflop and Okamoto snapped him off.

Tsang needed to dodge all aces and he would be our Mystery Bounty Hunter champion. Okamoto on the other hand was rooting for an ace to get back into this heads-up. The flop was J♦ K♣ 3♣ giving Okamoto two more outs. Both players saw the T♥ on the turn gave Okamoto one more out. The 2♥ on the river meant it was all over. Dicky Siu Hang "Tricky Dicky" Tsang is the 2023 APT Incheon Mystery Bounty Hunter champion, while Shiina Okamote had to settle for 2nd place. Her runner-up spot earned her KRW 20,600,000 (~$15,560) plus bounties.

Dicky Siu Hang Tsang has been grinding himself back into this heads-up for quite some time when all of a sudden, all the chips went into the middle. Shiina Okamoto open-jammed it in from the small blind and was snap-called by Tsang.

Shiina Okamoto found herself in a pickle as Tsang dominated her.

The board ran out 3♥ K♥ Q♥ 7♣ 6♦. A massive double up for Tsang that left Okamoto crippled.

Dicky Siu Hang Tsang is grinding himself back into this heads-up battle.

Dicky Siu Hang Tsang limped his small blind and snapped off the pre-flop all-in of Shiina Okamoto for his final 1,300,000. Okamoto was caught with her hand in the cookie jar by Tsang.

The flop ran out 7♣ 3♦ T♣ 4♣ 2♥. Okamoto picked up a gutshot on the flop but couldn't convert it into an APT title. Tricky Dicky played his ace-king sneaky, which worked perfectly for him.

Tae Hoon Han

After he lost that massive pot before the break, Tae Hoon Han ran into a cooler situation when he pushed his last 9 big blinds into the middle with A♠ Q♦, Shiina Okamoto held K♠ K♥ and was happy to come along for the ride.

Han looking for an ace, but didn't find one as the board ran out Q♣ 7♦ 4♠ 3♣ 3♥.

A good run for the Korean here in the Mystery Bounty Hunter has ended in 3rd place. Han took home KRW 14,890,000 (~$11,250) plus bounties.

The final three players are on a 15-minute break.

Shiina Okamoto took this opportunity to cash in her bounty chips and pulled out KRW 8,300,000 (~$6,245) in bounties!

Tae Hoon Han has just blown 80% of his stack away after a bluff gone wrong against Shiina Okamoto.

Preflop Okamoto raised to 175,000, and Han made the call. The flop brought 6♥ J♦ 2♠ and after Han checked to Okamoto she betted out 225,000. Han took his time before making the call.

The 3♣ got quickly checked by both players. Han checked again when the Q♥ appeared on the river. Okamoto grabbed a big stack of her plaques and tossed in 700,000. Han staired down Okamoto while using one of his time banks. After 45 seconds in the tank he announced 2,000,000 and Okamoto snapped him off.

Han showed A♦ 4♦ for aces high while Okamoto's Q♣ J♠ was more than enough to take down this pot. A major blow to Han who is now our shortest stack.

The dominating hand did not hold so far on this final table and once again the dominating hand was tested when Tae Hoon Han moved all-in versus Dicky Siu Hang Tsang. The Hong Kong resident made the call and was in perfect shape.

Tsang: Q♠ Q♥.

Han: 9♦ 8♦.

The board ran out 4♥ 6♠ 6♥ 4♣ 9♥, which meant the best hand held for the first time this final table. Tsang is back in the race after this double up.
