Lester Edoc and Hsiang Wang were staring at a board of 8 3 A 2 with a pot of roughly 60,000 in the middle.

Wang moved all-in for his last 35,000 and Edoc called. Wang confidently showed A A for a set of aces while Edoc flipped over 5 4 for a turned wheel straight with a flush draw.

Just to rub some salt in, the poker gods threw a 9 on the river to complete Edoc's flush. Edoc moved forward his chips for the dealer to confirm if he had Wang covered and indeed he did.

Wang exited the table with heartbreak, standing up from his seat and still starting at the felt as the chips were shipped Edoc's way.

All he could do was shrug and smile.

That's poker.
