The TWD 70 million (~US$ 2,150,000) guaranteed APT Taipei 2025 Main Event kicked off its first starting flight, drawing a total of 541 entries (404 unique). With another 466 OnLive entries from Natural 8 - the Main Event boasts of a total of 1,007 entries so far with three more flights yet to conclude.
Today's flight competed through ten 60-minute levels with a total of 203 survivors bagging their chips to continue their main event journey for Day 2.
Taiwan's Wu Chun Yu amassed the biggest stack of the day with a total of 469,200 chips, setting the bar for the other upcoming flights.
A bit further down with the second largest stack is Hong Kong's Nicholas Go with 338,900 and just right behind him is Sing Wen Chen of Taiwan with 330,000 to round up the top three, with the top ten Flight A chip counts as follows:
Reigning APT Taipei Poker Classic Main Event champion Rene von Reden narrowly missed out on bagging a top ten stack, concluding the action with 245,900 in chips.
Other notable players from this flight who will advance to Day 2 include Beng Hong Ker of SIngapore (165,600), Choi Youngchang of South Korea (160,300), Shinya Matsuda of Japan (149,200), Dinesh Alt of Switzerland (139,300), Lester Edoc of the Philippines (138,000) and Tom Verbruggen of the Netherlands (137,300).
