JEJU, SOUTH KOREA, February 4, 2026– We are now over the halfway point of the APT season-opener, APT Jeju Classic 2026!
The Tour has a habit of breaking records at every stop we go, and even the chilly weather can't keep players away. The Main Event of APT Jeju Classic 2026 became the largest event ever organised on South Korean soil. Plenty of big names are still in the mix for Day 3 tomorrow. That’s not all. After the record-breaking Ultra Stack - High Roller event a couple of days ago, the tour's dedicated high rollers have their sights set on the two-day High Roller event. Check out who came out on top of Day 1 as we enter the Final Day tomorrow.

Star-Studded Field Emerges as Event #52 High Roller Reaches Final Day
Mao enters the Final Day of the High Roller event as the chipleader
Event #52: High Roller got underway with a strong showing, as 174 entries turned out for the opening day of the two-day tournament, building a sizeable KRW 751 million (~USD 527,000) prize pool. With KRW 174,770,000 (~USD 122,600) awaiting the eventual champion, Day 1 concluded with 23 players advancing, setting up a compelling Final Day.
Renji Mao leads the way after bagging 1,058,000 chips to claim the overall chip lead. The Chinese pro and WSOP bracelet winner, who boasts over USD 4.3 million in live tournament earnings, is chasing his fifth APT title and has positioned himself strongly at the top of the pack.
Close behind is Peng Yang of China with 947,000 chips. Approaching USD 1 million in live earnings, Yang will be aiming to convert his stack into a second APT title when play resumes. Rounding out the top three is Xintao Tian, also from China, who ended Day 1 with 783,000 chips to remain firmly in contention.
Some notable survivors moving forward are Calvin Sungwon Lee of the United States, sitting fourth in chips with 765,000. The two-time APT Superstar Challenge winner has already cashed in the APT Super High Roller this series and is chasing a fourth APT title. Also safely through is Rene von Reden of Germany, the APT Taipei Poker Classic 2024 Main Event champion, who carries a healthy 741,000-chip stack into the Final Day as he looks to add a second APT title to his résumé.

Wang Adds First APT Title to Decorated Résumé in Event #53: Masters Fixed Limit Draw Poker

Wang can add an APT trophy to his large cabinet of poker trophies
Yilong Wang marked a first by capturing his first APT title in Event #53: Masters Fixed Limit Draw Poker. The Chinese pro and WSOP bracelet winner, who boasts over USD 1.7 million in live tournament earnings, topped a 31-entry Masters field to secure the KRW 14,866,000 (~USD 10,432) first-place prize, adding an APT trophy to an already accomplished career.
Second place went to Punnat Punsri of Thailand, who once again came close to adding another APT title but had to settle for runner-up honours, earning KRW 10,240,000 (~USD 7,187). Fellow Thai pro Sorawit Suriyakarn completed the podium in third place, collecting KRW 6,530,000 (~USD 4,582) to round out the top three.

Chen Claims Fifth Crown in Event #54: NL Hold’em

Chen beats out a large field of players to win his fifth APT title
Chi Jen Chen continued to expand upon his trophy cabinet by capturing his fifth APT title in Event #54: NL Hold’em. The Taiwanese pro, who has over USD 1.2 million in live tournament earnings, topped a large 255-entry field to secure the KRW 35,803,264 (~USD 25,125) first-place prize.
Second place went to Jiani Yang of China, who earned KRW 24,110,000 (~USD 16,919) after a strong run through a packed field. Min Liang Tsao of Taiwan completed the podium in third place, collecting KRW 17,000,000 (~USD 11,929).

Tang's Jeju form continues this series with her second APT title
Lili Tang marked a triumphant return to the spotlight by capturing her second APT title in Event #55: Women’s High Roller. The Chinese pro, who made history with a runner-up finish at the APT Jeju 2025 Main Event, topped a 39-entry field to secure the KRW 18,704,000 (~USD 13,126) first-place prize
Second place went to Vanna Tea of the United States, who earned KRW 12,890,000 (~USD 9,045) after a strong showing in the women's field. Chu Ling Hsu of Taiwan completed the podium in third place, collecting KRW 8,210,000 (~USD 5,761).

Chen brings home his second APT title
Hao Chen added another accolade to his APT résumé by capturing his second APT title in Event #56: Turbo – PL Omaha Ultimate Hi-Lo – Cry Me A River. The Chinese pro, who has over USD 1.5 million in live tournament earnings, topped a 52-entry field to secure the KRW 6,710,832 (~USD 4,708) first-place prize.
Second place went to Xuanyu Jin of China, who earned KRW 4,850,000 (~USD 3,403), while Hen Rosilio of Portugal completed the podium in third place, collecting KRW 3,090,000 (~USD 2,168) to round out the top three.

Lu Continues Mixed-Game Mastery with Eighth Title in Event #58

Lu has eight APT titles in mixed games
Yang Lu further pushed his standing as one of the APT’s premier mixed-game specialists by capturing his eighth APT title in Event #58: Hyper Turbo – NL Triple Draw Mix. The Chinese pro topped a 37-entry field to secure the KRW 4,390,947 (~USD 3,081) first-place prize.
Second place went to Yik Hei Isaac Lo of China, who earned KRW 3,020,000 (~USD 2,119) after a strong run to reach heads up. Daiki Aoki of Japan completed the podium in third place, collecting KRW 1,920,000 (~USD 1,347).

Wang turned up today to bring home his third APT title
Jin Wang finally captured some silverware this series by winning his third APT title in Event #59: Tick Tock BOOM!. The Chinese pro, who had already logged two final table appearances earlier in the series, topped a 111-entry field to secure the KRW 7,932,486 (~USD 5,567) first-place prize.
Second place went to Man Ho Yuen of Hong Kong, who earned KRW 5,470,000 (~USD 3,838). Jialu Shen of China completed the podium in third place, collecting KRW 3,590,000 (~USD 2,519) to round out the top three.

Second place went to Chun Ping David Lo of the United States, who earned KRW 20,020,000 (~USD 14,047) after another strong showing to reach heads up and add another final table appearance to his series. Junkai Kui of China completed the podium in third place, collecting KRW 13,110,000 (~USD 9,200) to round out the top three.
