That record stood, until the 2,547-player turnout this series in Taipei, the APT has not only surpassed its own benchmark but set a new standard for live poker events in Asia.

Why APT Taipei Keeps Surpassing Expectations

APT’s continued success in Taipei is no accident. The combination of world-class venues, streamlined event management, international player incentives, a vast array of events, and a thriving local scene has made Taiwan an epicenter for poker.

The Main Event’s structure—featuring multiple Day 1 flights, including online flights, deep stacks, and generous late registration—also appeals to both recreational and professional players.

Moreover, the rising prestige of APT’s global Championship (the APT Championship Main Event in November, boasting a TWD 165 million guaranteed prize pool has added further incentive for players to participate in satellite and signature events like this one.

Looking Ahead

What’s next for APT? With the tour continuing to grow and a multiple stops such as Incheon in August, Jeju in September, and then the first APT Championship here in November, it’s clear that APT new era will be better, stronger, and even more appealing to everyone. Nobody knows what the future will bring, but a good bet would be on APT shattering more records!
