APT Taipei 2025's standout player will be rewarded with a direct entry to the APT Championship 2025 Main Event
MANILA, PHILIPPINES, April 24, 2025 – APT Taipei 2025 begins tomorrow, and with a packed 10-day schedule featuring 126 tournaments and over TWD 126 million (~USD 5.4 million) in guarantees, it promises to be one of the most thrilling stops on the APT calendar. To raise the stakes even higher, we are excited to introduce a new award up for grabs at the festival—the APT Taipei 2025 Player of the Series (POTS).
The POTS title will be awarded to the most consistent and high-performing player across eligible tournaments during APT Taipei 2025, running from April 25 to May 4 at the brand-new Red Space, in partnership with Chinese Texas Hold’em Poker Club (CTP) and proudly sponsored by Natural8.
The winner will receive:
- A sponsored seat to the APT Championship 2025 Main Event in November—our season’s grand finale and the most prestigious tournament on the tour calendar, running November 24-28 with a TWD 350,000 (~USD 10,700) buy-in and TWD 165 million (~USD 5 million) guarantee in a freezeout format.
- An exclusive APT Taipei Player of the Series Trophy to commemorate the achievement.
All live APT tournaments in the APT Taipei 2025 schedule—except for satellites, teams events, women’s tournaments, and other restricted entry tournaments—count toward the POTS leaderboard. Players must earn points in at least three separate eligible events to qualify.
Points are calculated based on a player’s finishing position, and while deals are allowed, point allocation will be adjusted accordingly. In the event of a tie, first-place finishes, final tables, ITM results, and total winnings will be used to determine the overall winner.
