TAIPEI, TAIWAN, APRIL 27, 2025– Taiwan’s Kai Cheng Hsu finally captured the elusive APT title he had long been chasing, taking down Event #26: Single Day High Roller. With over USD 300,000 in live earnings prior to the festival, the local pro battled through an elite 81-entry field (62 unique) of high rollers to secure the title and the TWD 1,923,900 (~USD 59,383) top prize – the biggest score of his poker career.
Japan’s Masataka Setoguchi finished runner-up, earning TWD 1,368,000 (~USD 42,222), while South Korea’s Bawoo Hyun Shik Yun placed third for TWD 896,000 (~USD 27,654).
Natural8 ambassador and Thailand’s super pro Punnat Punsri, who has been a consistent presence at the final tables in APT circuits, made another deep run to finish in fourth place.

Li Wins First APT Title in Event #25: Omaha Masters – PL Omaha High
Li takes home the biggest live cash of his career
Taiwan’s Jheng-Gang Li made an incredible run in Event #25: Omaha Masters – PL Omaha High, capturing his first-ever APT title. Battling through a 71-entry field (52 unique), Li claimed the top prize of TWD 626,040 (~USD 19,323), marking the biggest score of his career. With this victory, the local standout also tripled his live tournament earnings.
Fellow Taiwanese player Ting Hao Wu finished runner-up, earning TWD 451,000 (~USD 13,917), while Malaysia’s Owen Chong secured third place for TWD 293,000 (~USD 9,043).

Canada’s David Spencer continued his stellar form at APT Taipei 2025, capturing his second APT title in as many days by taking down Event #27: Limit – Dealer’s Choice – 7 Stud. The mixed games specialist outplayed a 40-entry field (37 unique) to claim the TWD 112,012 (~USD 3,457) top prize, further reinforcing his reputation as one of the circuit’s best mixed games players.
The Netherlands’ Tony Khoang makes another final table appearance and finished as runner-up, pocketing TWD 77,000 (~USD 2,376), while Australia’s John Charles Caridad secured third place for TWD 49,000 (~USD 1,512).

Lee Claims First APT Women's Event Title in Event #28: Women’s Event
Lee takes her place as one of best female poker players in Taiwan
Taiwan’s Jia Chi Lee finally captured the title that narrowly eluded her in 2023, winning Event #28: Women’s Event at APT Taipei 2025. A local grinder with over USD 200,000 in live earnings, Lee bested a 94-entry field (73 unique) to claim her first APT women’s event title and a top prize of TWD 242,460 (~USD 7,483), solidifying her status as one of Taiwan’s top female players.
Japan’s Saori Tokunaga finished as the runner-up and collected TWD 170,000 (~USD 5,246), while fellow Japanese player Ohta Ami secured third place with a payout of TWD 112,500 (~USD 3,472).

Shah Wins First APT Title in Event #29: NL Hold’em – Big Bounty
Shah took down the Big Bounty event for his career-high score
India’s Avadh Shah made it a week to remember at APT Taipei 2025, following up his victory in the N8IN x APT Taipei 2025 Invitational by capturing his first APT title in Event #29: NL Hold’em – Big Bounty. Shah, who had not previously recorded a cash on the APT circuit, overcame a massive 173-entry field (157 unique) to secure the biggest live cash of his poker career. His victory, worth TWD 689,900 (~USD 21,289) including TWD 120,000 (~USD 3,704) in bounties, more than doubled his live earnings.
Australia’s Andrew Hosok Han finished runner-up, banking TWD 650,500 (~USD 20,079) including TWD 85,000 (~USD 2,623) in bounties, while Taiwan’s Shang Chuan Wu claimed third place for TWD 335,000 (~USD 10,340), which included TWD 30,000 (~USD 926) from bounties.

Su Captures First APT Title in Event #31: Turbo – PL Drawmaha 2-7
Su takes home his first APT title
Taiwan’s Liang Su returned to winning ways with a victory in Event #31: Turbo – PL Drawmaha 2-7, capturing his first APT title. Having last made a final table appearance on the APT circuit in 2022, Su outlasted a 41-entry field (33 unique) to claim the trophy and TWD 114,213 (~USD 3,525) in prize money.
Hong Kong’s Chak Pan Yiu finished in second place, taking home TWD 79,000 (~USD 2,438), while Australia’s Andrew John Shanahan secured third for TWD 50,500 (~USD 1,559).

Taiwan’s Shun-Ping Wang celebrated a major victory in his poker career by winning his first APT title in Event #32: Turbo – High Roller. Topping a stacked 59-entry field (49 unique), Wang secured the biggest live cash of his career with a TWD 535,160 (~USD 16,526) payday, pushing his total live earnings past the USD 40,000 mark.
Japan’s Yuki Nakada finished in second place, earning TWD 387,000 (~USD 11,944), while fellow Japanese contender Hirokazu Kobayashi placed third for TWD 250,000 (~USD 7,716).

Taiwan’s Kuan Yu Chen emerged victorious from one of the biggest fields of the series in a side event, claiming his first APT title in Event #33: Hyper Turbo Home Games – Super Hold’em. A regular face on the local circuit with over USD 100,000 in live earnings, Chen topped a massive 197-entry field (175 unique) to pocket TWD 121,663 (~USD 3,754) and secure a long-awaited breakthrough on the APT circuit.
Taiwan’s Kuo Wei-Chun finished as the runner-up, earning TWD 82,500 (~USD 2,546), while Yi Hsiang Shan, also from Taiwan, placed third with a payout of TWD 57,000 (~USD 1,759).

South Korea’s Jeong Yeol Yu adds to his growing APT trophy collection by winning his fifth career title in Event #34: Hyper Turbo – NL Single Draw Mix. With over USD 300,000 in live earnings to his name, Yu outlasted a 55-entry field (50 unique) to seize the trophy and a TWD 105,017 (~USD 3,241) payout.
Taiwan’s King-Chung Wang finished second, taking home TWD 76,500 (~USD 2,361), while Thailand’s Kiwanont Sukhum rounded out the top three with a payout of TWD 49,500 (~USD 1,527).

In what was his first recorded live cash, Sungthong overcame a massive 158-entry field (146 unique) to claim the top prize of TWD 237,750 (~USD 7,338), marking a memorable breakthrough on the international stage.
Canada’s Yung Pui Shen secured second place and earned TWD 159,500 (~USD 4,923), while Japan’s Ken Doi rounded out the podium with a third-place finish worth TWD 106,000 (~USD 3,271).
